Abstract

The main goal of the article is to determine how personnel development affects emergency response performance and to investigate how general tourist management practices influence these dynamics. The study uses a stratified random sample of 468 employees from tourism-related businesses using a quantitative research approach. To investigate relationships and evaluate hypotheses, statistical techniques like regression, correlation, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) are used. The results show a substantial significant relationship between emergency response performance and the quality of people development, providing strong support for the hypothesis. The study also finds that a key moderator in the relationship between successful emergency response and personnel development is tourist management. The research highlights the critical function that focused personal development and efficient training initiatives have in augmenting emergency response capacities in tourism-related businesses. The necessity for a synergistic strategy to optimise emergency response through strategic people development in line with efficient tourist management techniques is highlighted by the moderating influence of tourism management. An innovative perspective on these interactions is added by the identification of tourist management as a prominent moderator, providing insightful information for future studies and strategic planning in the tourism sector.
