Abstract

The key factor of sustainable and efficient functioning of the country’s economy is the continuous improvement of the existing enterprises management systems based on the use of modern achievements in management and entrepreneurship. Resolving theoretical and practical problems of human resources management through further research in socio economic factors of labor motivation provides the opportunity to improve both quality and productivity of labor. The research is focused on identification of the most important factors of staff motivation depending on the age of employees, years of service and type of work performed.
The essence of motivation is disclosed and a separate definition is given to the concepts of “need”, “motive”, “motivation” from the point of view of different authors. The motivational processes of personnel management are investigated. The theoretical positions of famous authors on the problems of the personnel motivation system in modern organizations are generalized. The classification of needs by general properties is considered. A constructed model of staff motivation through his needs. The essence of material and not material motivation of the staff is investigated.
