Development of economic competence of educational leaders as a factor of effective management of financial and economic activity of educational institution

Abstract

In the context of fast-changing processes in the economy, which is a consequence of modern socio-economic transformations, the qualitative professional training of education leaders is becoming increasingly important. Purpose of the research: to theoretically substantiate, develop and test the technology of development of economic competence of educational leaders. Objectives of the study: To clarify the meaning of the concept of "economic competence of education leaders" and to develop a model of development of economic competence of education leaders. Methods of research: theoretical analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, comparison, systematization, classification made it possible to study and summarize materials on the development of economic competence of educational leaders; theoretical modeling-develop a model for the development of economic competence of education leaders. Summarizing the results of the study gives grounds for the following conclusions: “The economic competence of educational leaders is related to scientific and pedagogical issues, which are not sufficiently developed in the theory of pedagogy. The reasons that hinder the development of economic competence of education leaders are: low motivation for economic activity, imperfection of the curricula, which are used to improve the skills of this category of students, the lack of a model for the development of economic competence of education leaders. The analysis of pedagogical and economic literary sources, studying the state of economic activity of education leaders made it possible to determine that the economic competence of education leaders is a system of financial, material and economic knowledge and skills that outline the integral essence of creation, distribution, exchange and consumption of material and spiritual goods, formation economic thinking of pedagogical staff and students (students) in order to ensure the effective functioning of the educational institution.
